BLESSING OF THE BADGE
In honor of the work of our first responders in the Omaha metro area, Pastor Bachus and the Salem Baptist Church family invited all local, state and federal law enforcement officers to the Blessing of the Badge ceremony.
Pastor Bachus of Salem Baptist Church, 3131 Lake St., in partnership with The Black Police Officer’s Association, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, African- American Correctional Officers Association, and the Omaha Association of Black Professional Firefighters, presented the first responders with a service and lunch on Nov 11, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. All first responders and the public were invited. Blessing of the Badge events are held nationwide by various churches and public organizations, to pray for first responders safety, their families and their abilities as they commit to their service daily.
